The restaurant at Xandari Harbour is called 51 - named after the building number of the spice warehouse that it is housed in. The award winning heritage structure is restored as a fitting tribute to the spice route.
Spice rooms on the ground floor enjoy outdoor seating with direct access to the pool. The collection of Spice Rooms on the first floor have large picture windows that frame charismatic panoramas of waters and sky.
Spacious balconies with amazing waterfront views are the best part about our Harbour Rooms. The sky is always changing colours and you can see the magic while you lounge on the bed.
With two balconies, the Spice Suite enjoys the vibrant energy of the Bazar and exclusive luxury of space. The resort side has an extensive view of the lawns and the harbour waterfront.

History has not bypassed Mattancherry and it is a melting pot of communities who have settled here over centuries. Konkanis, Kutchi Muslims, Jains and Jews were the prominent communities that have made this their home, leading to Mattancherry's unique character. Jew street and the Jewish synagogue, Jain temple and Dutch Palace are not to be missed. Walk through the quaint streets of Jew town, lined on either side with tiny shops selling spices, antiques and knick-knacks.
Sustainability is a new word for an old idea in Kerala. Methods of recycling, bio composting, farming practices, old recipes, tropical medicine and many more home grown methods that are used as part of daily life come alive in an empowered community of gardeners, cooks, managers & engineers, guides, etc who are active members of the Xandari Community.
Plastic straws are strictly avoided. Instead we use paper straws. We have been able to make a significant difference in the avoidance of plastic. The toiletries provided to guests come in reusable cloth pouches which adds a rustic charm to their appearance and helps our conservation practices.
One of our earliest actions was to completely avoid the use of plastic bottles. Not only our restaurant but every room is provided with glass bottles containing filtered water. The in-room toiletries too come in handy glass bottles.
