How do I get there?
From SanJose, the International Airport or Xandari Resort & Spa, travel
on the Central Pacific
Highway to Jaco (approx. 2 hours), then 30km south, past Playa Hermosa,
Playa Esterillos Oeste
and Central (25 minutes), exiting at Playa Esterillos
Este.
What are the accommodations like?
Spacious private villas all feature a large terrace from which to enjoy
panoramic views of
the Pacific Ocean or lush tropical gardens, private walled-gardens, sitting
area, mini-bar, air
conditioning plus fan and luxury amenities such as hair dryer and CD player.
The generous
bathrooms feature a mosaic-tiled shower that opens to a private garden.
Each villa is a separate
building, designed by owner and architect Sherrill Broudy, with original
paintings, mosaics and
tapestries by artist Charlene Broudy.
What is dining like at the resort?
The open-air thatched palm roof pavilion restaurant and bar has sweeping
views of the beach and
gardens from every table. Featuring healthy, gourmet
international and Costa Rican dishes,
the emphasis is on fresh seafood and produce, with many fruits, vegetables
and herbs grown in
our own gardens. Open daily from 6:30am to 10pm.

What is the beach at the hotel like?
This shell-strewn, long, expansive and scenic beach is perfect for walking,
jogging, exploring
and sunbathing. Dramatic waves have made this a renowned
surfing beach. There’s ample shade
under the palm and almond trees,
plus hammocks and chaise lounges for relaxing, and there’s
almost
always a refreshing breeze. The sky at sunset is breathtaking.
